 The advent of information technology has revolutionized the way people learn today. Various educational institutions have now adopted the e-learning platform as a mode of teaching their students. Thousands of students from different parts of the world are taking their courses via e-learning platforms at various levels from certificates to doctoral programs.  

However, there are many challenges that students face while doing their course via online learning mode, which are listed below:

  1. Managing and dealing with technical issues that arise during the process, is because online students are prone to encountering technical hitches at some point during their studies.
  2. Distractions from friends and the social environment where learning takes place. You must know to strike a balance between your studies and social interactions, this is because online learning may create a sense of isolation.
  3. How to stay motivated while taking the coursework. It is very easy to get discouraged when studying online because of having to stay alone without much interaction from other students.
  4. Self Discipline and Time Management. Online learning requires one to be self-disciplined.
  5. Adapting to the unfamiliar Technology and the new mode of learning. This is why it is important for online learners to obtain traditional training before taking the course.
